    As a consultant physician, Dr. Banerji also manages a busy clinic at PBHRC India, attending to 300-400 patients daily—an institution in itself.

Dr. Pratip Banerji: At A Glance

  • Pratip Banerji is the only son of Dr. Prasanta Banerji and the great-grandson of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar—a prominent Sanskrit scholar, educator, reformer, writer, and philanthropist from Bengal, regarded as one of the foremost intellectuals and activists of the nineteenth century.
  • As a fourth-generation physician, Pratip carries on his family’s legacy by providing affordable alternative treatments for serious ailments to underserved communities in West Bengal and across India.
  • He completed his BHMS (CU) from D.N.D.H. Degree Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, ranking 2nd in the university with honors in Pathology and Materia Medica.
  • Pratip pursued postgraduate studies at LCCH (UK), where he was awarded the PG.LCCH along with a Diploma in Teachers Training.
  • He earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed University), Udaipur, India.
  • Alongside his father, Pratip practices regularly at PBHRC Elgin Road in Kolkata.
  • In addition, he runs a charitable evening clinic in Kolkata, where patients receive free treatment.
